YAMMER ON: Hope for Positive Experience and Community

When I proposed the idea of putting on a musical to my friends back in January 2021, the main idea was to create an opportunity for theatre and production and creativity. There have been many wonderful companies already producing pandemic theatre--some virtually, some in-person, some live-streamed.

The Trail to Oregon! was our little corner of the Internet and the DC area theatre community. I loved creating that show--and creating All Together Now! later that year. Getting to make theatre has been such a gift and such a balm in this wild time.

While we are still working on creating our season for this year, there are many local companies putting on wonderful work. DC has so much to offer. On this blog, you will see announcements from YAM, maybe some behind the scenes, and some conversations and reviews with other creators in the area. It is my hope that this blog is a celebration of community theatre and musical theatre discussions.
