EMERGENCY AUDITIONS: VHS Christmas Carol

YAM Productions is looking for two or three more actors to play some fabulous roles in our area-premiere production of VHS Christmas Carol in December 2025! With music and lyrics by Clark Baxtresser, VHSCC was originally produced by StarKid Productions who specialize in new innovations of beloved stories. This time the Dickens classic gets an 80s makeover with sung-through music and dancing while maintaining the beloved story and characters.

BELLE (female, mezzo/belt, can be played by any suitable actor) sings a powerful ballad to break up with Young Scrooge called “That Scrooge.”

MRS. CRATCHIT (female, soprano, can be played by any suitable actor) sings the heartfelt duet-turned-ensemble number at the core of the show called “Priceless.”

FRED (male, baritone/tenor, can be played by any suitable actor) sings in the opening number, finale, and the dance number “Christmas Electricity.”

These roles are intended to be grouped with other minor roles into tracks, but there is some flexibility with casting as scheduling allows.

Rehearsals are generally Saturday or Sunday (sometime between 10am and 6pm in Centreville/Chantilly), Monday (7-9/10), and Tues OR Wed Or Thurs, with three a week max. Other rehearsals may take place in Springfield, Falls Church, or Fairfax as we finalize our rehearsal schedule. Performances are Dec 12 & 13 at 7:30pm and Dec 13 & 14 at 2:30pm at the Cale Community Center outside Fair Lakes.

YAM Productions is an amateur musical theatre company based in the Centreville/Chantilly area. All rolws are unpaid, volunteer roles.
