Dress rehearsal is scheduled for Wednesday July 30, 7pm-9pm.
Roles:
All roles are open for casting, and actors will be asked to perform both scripted scenes and improvised audience interaction portions.
Auntie Helen Spitfire: WWII historical fiction novelist celebrating her 99th birthday (may be played an actor of any age)
Ernest Fitzgerald: Helen's grandnephew, an elitist but failed literary writer who is hosting the party
Pauline Loover: Helen’s grandniece, the most famous romance writer in the world, has just jumped genres with her latest thriller, PARITY; she's better than you
T.R.R. Bartin: Helen's grandnephew, once-famous fantasy writer who's been working on book 3 of his trilogy for a very long time
Vera B. Rockets: Helen's grandniece and hard science fiction writer, who has big news tell everyone; very direct
Steven Prince: TRR's husband, a horror novelist who's always #2 on the New York Times's Scaries (It’s pronounced Steff-AN.)
Monica Meiers: Ernest's ex-wife and famous children's author who also jumped genres and wrote a thriller two years before Pauline. She’s only at the party because Helen invited her, much to the family's annoyance. *Some minimal singing required, need not be "good"
Angelica Sansberry: Aunt Helen's beloved cousin fifteen times removed (or something like that) who writes cozy mysteries with who definitely doesn't think of herself as Jessica Fletcher
